Friday, February 13th, 2009- (Sad News)
Sad news on our fighter, Koch. Koch lost his fight early Friday morning. Necropsy revealed it was a blockage of worms in his intestine. Vet said he was a fighter and didnt even give up through the toughest moments. Unfortunately it wasnt enough that Friday morning. He is going to be missed VERY MUCH! We love and miss you very much Koch. May your story touch all that read it and educate people on what homeless dogs such as yourself have gone through! Koch's Death was 100% preventable. Simply Love, Food, Water, De-wormer, and HW preventative could of saved him. An animals life is Priceless.

Beneth these ribs is a Loving Caring Dog that wanted nothing more than to please you and be fed! Instead he was thrown out like a toy. Dogs are Forever not temporary until you dont want "it" no more!
He whispers in our ears, "How could They?" and the Sad part is that we dont have the answer.
The MOST incredible thing is is that he still loves humans. His loving nature made him become a "prisoner of love"
All we can do is hope that all the loving people out there can help us Support him. Please help this dog make it into a loving home that he DESERVES.

Koch is Stable now. He has undergone 2 Blood Transfusions and been through so much.
This lil guy is a FIGHTER! Vet and the Vet Assistant was VERY amazed at how determined he is to live.
Koch is a good name but we have decided to re-name him. We think its time to give him a name that suits him and that he is a miracle. Names we have came up with so far: Chance, Courage, Bravery, Valor, Spirit, Ali (-lee), ! Please tell us what you think!

Koch UPDATE 2-11-09
DONATION NEWS: If you make over a 20.00 donation you will recieve a FREE "For the Love of Rescues" 2009 Calender. They will be coming in next week, so it may have a small delay.
He got Most of his tests ran today. Not so good news. BUT I looked deep in his eyes and I could see that he has the WILL and HOPE to make it.
Test results came back so far:
Positive for intestinal Parasites
Coccidia Positive
Heartworm Positive
Low Cell count
Prolapsed Rectum
BUT.....
Him and HPA are not going to give up. He Needs to LIVE and Know what its like to have a Family. We have showed him much LOVE and CARE these last few days.
PLEASE help him get the Life he desperately NEEDS.
Todays Course of treatment.....
Hes undergoing blood transfusions right now and hes on IV drip. After he gains a lil weight he will undergo surgery to fix his rectum. After he gains about 15 lbs and he has upped his cell count he will start Coccidia and Heartworm Treatment.
WE NEED ALOT OF PRAYERS.
Treatment is going to be around 950.00 after we are done. But he said it may be as high as 1200.00! We are at 400.00 right now.
Please help us get the rest of the money.
