About The Hughs Pet Adoption:

We are a non-profit animal shelter. We are no-kill, we do not euthanize adoptable animals. We are do not have our 501c3 yet, because we have decided to wait until our new shelter is built before getting ours! We have adopted out 1568 animals since 2006. Our shelter is not open to the public, because most of our animals are fostered out through private homes.

______________________________________________________

This is all started many years ago when i was 6. I was a severe asthmatic that was allergic to ALL animals. If there was an animal near I'd start sneezing and my skin would get inflammed. I was so fascinated by them, I just couldn't touch them. Then, one of the kids brought a hairless cat to school for show-n-tell. I held her and kissed her many times before the 30mins of show-n-tell was up. I went home to tell my mother about my wonerful day, and she was even more excited for me than I thought possible. Within a month after this I had found a barn cat that was very wild in our barn. I then started to steal a bunch of tuna from the house and bringing it to the barn and I would set it about 5 feet away from me then I'd sit, for many hours at that. Then, I got where I could put it right by my side and she'd com up and eat. A few days later I touched her soft fur. After that I got where i could hold her, which was AMAZING! With all of this there was no sneezing or skin rashes. I was miraculously healed, I was no longer Allergic to any animal. All of this is unexplained, but I am very glad it had happened!

This is my story. Thanks for reading. My passion for animals is a life-long commitment. I love my job, waking up everyday to animals which over 11yrs. ago would of never happened. All of this started from an animal crazed asthmatic.

If I can do this,  YOU CAN!!!!!
